The MTR (The Hong Kong version of the T or the subway)
The MTR is really nice. To ride it, you use the Octopus Card, which is similar to a Charlie Card but you can also use it in stores, and it charges per distance instead of just one ride.

Gallagher is SUPER EXCITED to ride on his first double decker bus :D
My group is doing ecotourism in Hong Kong, working with the Social Science department at Hong Kong Institute of Education. Our professor advisor is Dr. Dennis Hui. He is probably late 20s? He is very intelligent and very nice. We are working with 3 students from the university which will be awesome.
The Institute is absolutely gorgeous. It is in the New Territories, and takes about an hour to get there. We only have to commute there two days a week though as they do not have facilities to accomodate us on a regular basis. The rest of the time we will be doing site visits at the GeoParks, working at the public library and working from our apartments.
Lori, Josh, Fatima, Gallagher and Paul on the double decker bus
For most of them, it was their first time!
This is for Daddy - scaffolding made of bamboo!!! It is used everywhere :D
This place looks awesome! It is a short bus ride away from Hong Kong Institute of Education. We hope to visit here at some point!!!

Entrance to HKIEd
Pretty water garden thing. There are so many of these on campus. So peaceful and relaxing!
The library where we will be meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays :)
A lovely sign from HKIEd
The students Residence Halls!!! So cool, with like garden terraces and stuff!
Two of my group members, Amy and Katie, on the bus back from HKIEd. We found a cheap bus that was only $1 HKD instead of the $8 we paid on the public bus.
