Chinese Lunar New Year

Having experienced the crowds of Time Square on New Years eve and having the knowledge that riding in the MTR here is more crowded then that, I opted out of many of the New Years celebrations. On Monday there was a parade and on Tuesday there were fireworks. The parade was a definite no. I had planned to go to the fireworks and pick a non-traditional spot in hopes to avoid some of the crowds. Unfortunetly, it started to rain shortly before we left so I decided once again to skip out. I had the opportunity to clean our apartment and I wrote the entire background chapter of our paper. There is a part of me that wishes I had gone to the celebrations because I may never get to experience that again, but I think my negative attitude of crowds would have ruined it had I actually gone out... The plus of staying in was that I actually had some peace and quiet in our apartment with my roommate gone.
