Monday - a field trip and the last day of Cantonese classes

On Monday, my group took a field trip of the Hong Kong Geopark visitors center in Sai Kung. Unfortunetly, google maps gave me the wrong directions so it took us two hours to get there. Once we got there, there wasn't a whole lot of NEW information for us so that was a bit disappointing.
Paul sleeping on the MTR. He tends to nod off a lot when we are commuting.
A display that mentions Tung Ping Chau and its siltstone formations!
 Official definition of a geopark.
 More on Tung Ping Chau!

These are the rocks that I mentioned earlier that the Geopark developed its logo from.
 More Tung Ping Chau!
the had an outdoor rock museum that had all the different types of rocks present in Hong Kong and gave a little description about them and where to find them. This is a selection from Tung Ping Chau.
This is where the visitors center was located.

After our field trip we went to Central and sat at a Starbucks for a few hours to brainstorm and start some writing. I also finalized all of our interviews at that time which was good! Then we headed to our Cantonese lessons. We had a Cantonese challenge which was like a game but with Cantonese skills. Needless to say Team Andrew, Belinda and Shelby did NOT win the challenge. Then Victoria gave us some pointers about Chinese New Year and told our advisors that teachers are suppose to give red envelopes to their students. If you are unfamiliar with the tradition, elders (typically in the family) give red envelopes to younger people with money in them as a Happy New Year wish. We were all making fun of Professors Rick and Demetry that they had to give us money.

After that, I went home and had some dinner and went to bed!
