Wednesday at Caritas
Wednesday we worked at the Town Centre Library again. This was our first real day of group tension. We are trying to come up with a final project goal and we spent a lot of time on the wording. Anyways, 8 hours later, we realized that we had a group presentation in an hour and a half. We started to prepare our slides. Once we finished assembling it all, we headed over to the Caritas Learning Center (where we had been having Cantonese classes). We reviewed our slides and then volunteered to be the first group to present. All in all I think our presentation went very well. Since we were still trying to figure out what our final objective/goal was, we had a hard time portraying our thoughts on the slides but I think that our presentation was still successful. After the 3 groups had finished their presentation, Professors Vaz and Demetry surprised us with red envelopes!!! They were kind enough to give us each $10 HKD, although Dylan got the surprise envelope with $50 HKD. After the presentation, we all went home!

How did you use your red envelope HKD? Can you get a cup of coffee for that?
ReplyDeleteIf you go to an actual coffee place (Starbucks, Pacific Coffee Company, etc.) then absolutely not. If you just go to a little stand or a bakery, then usually a small coffee is about $10 HKD.
DeleteUnfortunately I had forgotten my Octopus Card that day so I had to use the Red Envelope HKD to buy my MTR ticket home :(
